Medical Voyce.com is a complex, two-portal site with interactive features for health care professionals and patients.

The Challenge

The key to realizing Medical Voyce’s vision was an information-sharing system in an ultra-secure environment. The professional portal and main database had already been created. Sandstone’s task was to create a public portal with a search tool so patients could find a doctor within a unified local directory. The site also required technology to allow different sources of content.

The Solution

Sandstone Media built a framework using the Drupal content management system that enables multiple Web sites to share a centralized database of doctors. When a registered user updates information, the site is updated throughout. Sandstone integrated complex interactive and sharing features into the public portal, including an easy-to-use search tool that guides patients in finding conveniently located physicians who accept their insurance.

The Result

Sandstone Media not only helped Medical Voyce realize its vision for the Colorado Springs area, but also created a model that could be customized for other medical societies. Medical Voyce is well positioned to be a leading provider of resources to medical societies, doctors and patients throughout the United States.
